An honorary presidency and entertainment worthy of this anniversary edition!
Quebec, January 14, 2026 – Presented by the agency Récréation, the 30th Emerging Gala The event celebrates three decades of boldness and creativity in communication. Under the direction of Laurence Cantin and Éliane Robert, the event announces the appointment of Christian Desîlets as honorary president and entrusts the hosting of this anniversary edition to Félix Rondeau.
Scheduled for March 27, 2026, the Gala promises a festive and unifying evening, punctuated by significant nods to the editions that have shaped the next generation in communication over the years.
Christian Desîlets as honorary president
A professor for 20 years, Christian remains a valuable resource for graduates of the Bachelor of Public Communication program at Université Laval. Having himself made the transition from the professional to the academic world, he passionately guides students who now wish to follow the reverse path.
A proud graduate of Laval University, Christian Desîlets now holds the position of department director. His professional career has taken him from freelance writing to communications consulting, including research and information roles within the government, before joining the Cossette Québec agency, where he climbed the ranks to the position of vice-president and general manager.

Félix Rondeau as host
Originally from Quebec City, Félix Rondeau studied Media Arts and Technology before pursuing his career in various regions of Quebec, notably Rimouski and Gatineau. He participated in the launch of Rythme FM Saguenay, before returning to Quebec City to host the show Work pace on the airwaves of Rythme 102,9.
Known for his infectious energy and his connection with the public, Félix Rondeau has also been "Mister weather" on Salut Bonjour since 2022. His background and energy make him an ideal host for this 30th edition which celebrates the journeys, successes and promising beginnings of the next generation.
About the Emerging Communications Gala
Non-profit organization, the Emerging Gala The communications department's mission is to promote student involvement by organizing an evening of recognition and internship opportunities in the fields of journalism, advertising, marketing, public relations, and event management. Each year, the event reaches over 1000 students and professionals in the field and collaborates with some thirty partner companies.
