11th annual soup kitchen to benefit Lauberivière
Over 450 meals served and a $10,000 donation given to the organization
Quebec, Wednesday May 27, 2026 – On May 26, the Martin Group and the St-Hubert Foundation held their 11th annual soup kitchen in Lauberivière. As in previous years, staff and volunteers mobilized to offer much more than just a meal: a warm welcome, a moment of dignity, and tangible human connection to people experiencing homelessness. In total, over 450 complete meals were served, and a $10,000 donation was officially presented to the organization, demonstrating a commitment that goes far beyond mere symbolism.
11 YEARS OF SOLIDARITY
Eleven years after its first edition, the Groupe Martin's soup kitchen has become much more than an annual event: it's a much-anticipated gathering, a renewed promise to those whom society too often forgets. In keeping with this tradition, a full meal of St-Hubert chicken was served to everyone present, in an atmosphere of warmth and sharing.
The $10,000 donation officially presented to the Lauberivière team represents much more than a cheque: it is concrete support for the daily operations of an organization that welcomes anyone in need, unconditionally and without judgment, whatever the reason that brings them knocking on its door.
The success of the event also depends on the contribution of partners who are loyal to the event. Martin Dessert provided the finishing touch to the meal by offering desserts, while the family Coulombe generously provided the drinks. These long-standing collaborations illustrate what a supportive, long-term network can achieve for the most vulnerable.

Every year, more than 5 homeless or homeless people regain their dignity and their place in society thanks to Lauberivière. By offering various services such as a soup kitchen, housing for men and women, sobering up, a thrift store, two day centers, as well as rehabilitation and social reintegration services such as the trust, an academic training program for socio-professional integration, Lauberivière truly makes a difference in the lives of the most disadvantaged. The organization's mission is to welcome with respect, love, and understanding anyone 000 years of age and older, regardless of the reason that brings them to its door. This is the motto with which Lauberivière's staff and volunteers work day after day.
