Quebec City, June 10, 2026 – The hairdresser Marcus VilleneuveREDKEN ambassador Marcus is relocating his salon to the Upper Town and opening a new chapter in the Montcalm district, at 1350 rue des Jardins-Mérici. After years of growth and expansion, Marcus has made a deliberate choice to create a more personalized space: a deliberately smaller area, entirely redesigned around the client experience.
SMALLER, MORE PERSONALIZED
Going against the grain of the idea that growth always means expansion, the hairdresser has reduced the size of his salon by 1000 square feet. This deliberate choice aims to offer a more personalized service, away from the hustle and bustle, and to put the client relationship back at the heart of the experience. The more relaxed atmosphere of the Upper Town complements this newfound maturity.
A WARM AND COZY SPACE
Designed again in collaboration with Jérôme Lapierre ArchitectThe new salon aims for a warm and inviting atmosphere. Burgundy tones, plush fabrics, velvet curtains, soft lighting, and comfortable furniture create a space designed to feel like home. Guests are welcomed as if they were at home, with a coffee during the day or a glass of wine at the end of the day. The layout, which is still subject to change, will make room for
growing up with ceramics on her shelves.
« With life moving so fast, I wanted people who come here to feel like they were taking their time. We, too, take the time to do things right. " explains Marcus Villeneuve.
A NEW PRODUCT EXPERIENCE
The salon is also completely revamping its product offerings. Thanks to a partnership with PARIKART, customers now have access to a wider selection, both in-store and online, with personalized advice and competitive prices. The goal: to guide each customer from start to finish towards the products truly suited to their needs.
STARTING OVER ON SOLID FOUNDATIONS
This new salon is, by Marcus's own admission, the result of the last five years. Everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how you get back up. I've learned a lot, and I'm laying the groundwork to build on a much stronger foundation. The salon is solid. I am solid. ", he says.
MARCUS VILLENEUVE
Originally from Saguenay, Marcus Villeneuve began his career in Chicoutimi before carving out a prominent place for himself in Quebec City. For him, hairdressing is more than just a job: it's a true calling. Known for his originality and boldness, he hones his craft both in his chair and on the big and small screen, through commercials and television programs. The official hairstylist of Véronique Cloutier, he regularly collaborates with numerous Quebec celebrities.
