Montreal, February 12, 2026 – La House of Social Innovation (MIS) announces the appointment of Marie-Christine Ladouceur-Girard as President and CEO. Having served as CEO since 2023, she is being entrusted with this expanded role at a pivotal moment in the organization's evolution.
For the past three years, Marie-Christine Ladouceur-Girard has led a profound transformation of the Maison de l'innovation sociale (House of Social Innovation). This transformation took place in a context marked by the end of its initial philanthropic funding. She spearheaded a strategic shift in the business model. which enabled the organization's self-generated revenue to increase fivefold. Today, MIS stands out as a model of financial autonomy, with 65% of income is self-employmentShe created key events such as the MIS Grand Meeting, which brought together numerous public figures, as well as the Awards Personalities of social innovationThis transformation has also significantly expanded the MIS community and...increase the number of supported projects by 40%, multiplying its impact tenfold and strengthening its mission to democratize social innovation in Quebec and internationally.
Before joining the Maison de l'innovation sociale (House of Social Innovation), Marie-Christine conceived, structured, and spearheaded over 20 large-scale initiatives that reached more than 100,000 individuals and organizations. She served as Director of Development – Metropolitan Diversity at the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal (CCMM), where she mobilized a vast network of stakeholders from the fields of employability, immigration, and education. She also founded and directed the Bureau d'intégration des nouveaux arrivants à Montréal (BINAM) (Office for the Integration of Newcomers to Montreal) at the City of Montreal. Holding a Master's degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in International Law and International Relations, she also co-authored the 2017 publication...
